The new sites provides pertinent information regarding Kootenai Occupational Medicine’s services, staff, and affiliations. Soon, the site will offer patients the ability to pay bills online, allow web check-in and appointment scheduling capabilities.Kootenai Occupational Medicine is affiliated with Kootenai Urgent Care, Kootenai Medical Center and Kootenai Health, with locations in Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls and Hayden, Idaho. The clinic offers a comprehensive work related injuries treatment program, designed to help injured workers heal and return to work as soon as possible.
The clinic also offers employee screening services, including physicals, vaccinations, respiratory evaluations, drug testing services and more. Using the new website, employers can even check on their workers’ statuses, complete OSHA logs and fill out necessary forms.
Kootenai Occupational Medicine is led by Dr. Myron Mills, a board certified occupational medical physician, and Dr. Stuart Denny. Dr. Mills formerly served as medical director for the state of Oklahoma at Concentra, while Dr. Denny boasts more than 30 years of experience as a primary and urgent care physician in Coeur D’Alene. Together, Dr. Mills and Dr. Denny have a combined 60 years of worker’s compensation and occupational medicine experience.
Thanks to its affiliation with Kootenai Health, patients of Kootenai Occupational Medicine can undergo ergonomic assessments, functional job analysis, functional capacity evaluation, work conditioning and work hardening. Through Kootenai Urgent Care, patients can take advantage of after-hours services, injury care, breath alcohol testing, Department of Transportation physicals and drug screenings. Patients can also receive a customized physical therapy plan through Kootenai’s affiliation with Lakewood Physical Therapy.
Kootenai Occupational Medicine follows a communications model designed to keep all parties informed throughout the diagnostic and treatment process. Patients, employers, claims managers and nurse case managers are all kept in the loop as test results are received and treatment progresses.
