The five-star rated author’s series dovetails into the political maelstrom surrounding the upcoming U.S. Presidential election
WINSTON-SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA — Library Partner’s Press has released the second novel by author Ted Snedeker in “The Deputy” series, a dark prophecy detailing the dangers of the policies pursued by the current U.S. administration.
In “The Deputy – Reaping the Whirlwind,” Washington, D.C., leveled by a nuclear bomb — the ultimate act of terrorism — is rubble. The federal government has collapsed. Terrorists are launching attacks across the shattered nation. Amid the chaos stands Roy Lee White, a former Marine and rodeo star. When Militias formed to protect civilians from the rampant violence, White was called to lead a local contingent. His success as a leader led to his appointment as deputy sheriff and then as a special projects operative, working directly for the Illinois governor. At odds with the commander of state police and pursued by the governor’s beautiful aide-de-camp, Roy Lee struggles to lead and survive in this war-ravaged dystopian world. The second novel, “Taunt the Widowmaker,” begins with America being invaded by a coalition of Islamic fundamentalists and South American communists. Misguided government policies have hollowed out the America military, limiting its effectiveness to counter the invasion. Once again, the beleaguered citizens of the new coalition are called to defend the homeland.
