Leelalicious.com - a popular health food blog - just announced it is considering it's own line of kitchen products. Although a major force in the healthy food recipes niche, the blog brand currently does not have physical products.Regina Braun, CEO and founder of the blog, says this has been a long time coming and that the company is super excited about expanding the brand's reach this way.
"We've been testing the physical kitchen products market for a while now. Mainly by testing various products ourselves and then posting our reviews of them through the blog's product review channel. The response has been phenomenal" Braun says. "We reviewed various existing kitchen products that we believed our audience would appreciate and - for the most part - they absolutely love it!"
When asked what kind of products they are looking to put their brand on, Braun said "They are all so different. In fact, we go beyond just kitchen gadgets too. To answer your question though, one of the first products we are considering is an electrical wine bottle opener. We did an extensive review on other brand's openers and because it is so popular figured we should create one of our own."
Braun went on to say that a lot of details need to be figured out still but that it is hoping to have the first prototype ready by 2018.
"Of course there is the question of manufacturing. Will we have it made locally in Canada - where we're currently based out of - or will we outsource it to China like everyone else? Again, a lot more research on our part has to be done before we finalize anything, but are nonetheless excited to make this happen."
Braun says the company does not yet have a prototype of their own electric bottle opener but are looking at the most popular existing ones for ideas.
