According to statistics in the Crystal Ski Industry Report, France is the most popular ski destination and the choice of 34.6% of travelers, although the gap is shrinking with Austria that now hosts 27.9% of the UK skiers. However, industry statistics also show a relative new comer to the top echelon of ski locations with Scotland. There, the best ski conditions for more than ten years, where Scottish tourism officials report ski accommodation bookings are up 500%.
