“As a kid, I remember being so frustrated with this type of toy,” Cory Keate, CMO of KickFire Classics, shares. “In fact, the only way I could solve it was to break it apart and re-assemble it.”
Frazzled Kube-ists need not fear, however. KickFire Classics has produced a full-color “KickFire Kube” ebook that illustrates the step-by-step method of solving the Kube.
“Now, it’s not a matter of wanting to throw your Kube against the wall in frustration--they can cause some serious damage, and I don’t recommend it,” Keate advises, “but now, once you know the solution, the Kube is all about speed.”
Additional challenges await the tenacious and patient Kube-ist. Keate suggests that players solve it blindfolded or wearing oven mitts. Another challenge is to use the Kube as a party game. Get in a circle with friends, mix up the Kube, and then give each player 5 seconds or one twist of the Kube before it is passed to the next player.
Keate warns that the party’s volume level may exceed local noise ordinances. “Play responsibly,” Keate begs.
The KickFire Kube comes in the standard size, which fits in the palm of the hand, and a mini version attached to a keychain.
