Interactive Science Programs provides cool science projects and interactive science camps around the country. ISP is dedicated to using cool science projects, games and easy science experiments to get young people excited about science so that they will see the fun they can have in science that they may have in school.

Interactive Science Programs is the largest science and math outreach company in the nation owned and operated by African Americans. The director of Interactive Science Programs Dr. Darryl Baynes also had the great fortune to be part of the 2011 Dream Tour with Astronaut Bernard A. Harris sponsored by Exxon-Mobil. He was the onstage science demonstrator for the Dream Tour where he did fun science experiments.

ISP was initially formed to combat the under-representation of African Americans & women in STEM based careers. That is still our focus along with narrowing the gap in African American and at risk student achievement and changing the focus from STEM to STEAM. Interactive Science Programs go to schools and provide hands-on science enrichment, professional development, fun summer science camps, science and curriculum consulting, etc.

All of our professional development and student programs are correlated to the Common Core Framework for Science and Next Generation Science Standards. We pride ourselves on being able to show teachers how to do easy hands-on experiments in the classroom on a budget. I am sure you agree that the work we do is important not only for African American’s, but for all students. The Center on Education and the Workforce reports that by 2018 eight million U.S. jobs will be available in fields relating to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). http://stemcareer.com/tag/future/ The United States is not producing the numbers of students interested in STEAM careers to fill the future workforce needs.
