The creator of the award-wining JotterPad app launches their newest take on the long-standing art of journaling. Set to launch in Google Play Store on July 28th the Journey app lets users to up the ante on marking time.

It stands to reason that in the digital age some of the most essential pastimes are lost to unending busyness. So says the creator of the new Journey app set to launch in Google Play Store on July 28th. The Journey app is a memory keeper, a diary of sorts. Users write a journal entry, take a picture to heighten the moment, and the app maps it to a calendar, photo or atlas view.

Journey came out of its one-week private preview with thousands of testers, one of which was Paul Mayne creator of the iOS app Dayone. Early reviews of the app are favorable noting the app’s approachable material design and easy functionality. For everything from everyday thoughts to travel logs, Journey has a “human touch” that helps users rediscover the joy of journal writing.

Jeromy Yap, founder of 2 App Studio said of the journalling app’s launch, “The goal of Journey is to bring the warmth and humanity of the journal to the digital world. The light salmon pink paper, novel typeface and asterism typography brings back the distinct yet nostalgic feel of an authentic journal. Now journal writing on mobile devices is intuitive and user-friendly.”

The Journey app automatically retrieves information such as the location, weather and motion surrounding the user while they focus on typing about their day’s event. In addition, it adopts similar writing features found in award-winning application JotterPad, also a creation of 2 App Studio. The Journey app then presents the life of the user in calendar, photo and atlas views. These features make revisiting users’ life moments easy, anytime anywhere.
