The International Association of Women Runners presents the “Run Faster, Further and Injury-Free for Years to Come” Women’s Running Telesummit. The free online event featuring a panel of authorities will take place November 18-21.

Women runners now account for more than 53% of all road race finishers. This percentage is continuing to increase. Women-only races, and races geared towards women, are proliferating. However, as people age, the risk of injury increases. This is particularly true for women, more so than for men. Addressing the specific needs of women over 40 is the focus of the free “Run Faster, Further and Injury-Free for Years to Come” Women’s Running Telesummit. This online event is hosted by the International Association of Women Runners (IAWR).

“Never before have so many running experts been gathered together to discuss the unique needs of this important segment of runners,” says Bennett Cohen, Running Coach to Women Over 40, and President of IAWR. “We invite all women over 40 who share our passion for running to learn how to reach your personal best regardless of age, injury-free.”

The free Women’s Running Telesummit, accessible by phone or webcast, will take place Monday, November 18 through Thursday, November 21. A panel of distinguished running experts will give presentations on topics that include saving time by training more efficiently and effectively, optimizing nutrition for performance and weight maintenance, and preventing and treating injuries.

Participants will have the unprecedented opportunity get answers to their most burning questions directly from experts during a live, interactive Q&A session after each presentation.

Telesummit panelists include: Kathrine Switzer – activist, author, and the most influential woman in running; Nancy Clark – renowned sports nutritionists and author; Jenny Hadfield – columnist for Women’s Running Magazine and RunnersWorld.com; Amanda Loudin, award-winning running blogger; Donna Deegan – race director, author, philanthropist, and three-time breast cancer survivor; Jeff Galloway – Olympian, author, visionary, and running community leader.

Registered participants will receive instructions on how to attend by phone or webcast and a downloadable workbook containing each speaker’s presentation notes. After the Telesummit, registrants will receive downloadable MP3 recordings of the presentations to listen to at their leisure.

The live Telesummit is free and easy to access by registering at http://www.iawr-connect.com/telesummit-2013
