Huawei’s key executives speak at the Singapore International Transport Congress & Exhibition 2013.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Norman Frisch, Head of Global Business Development for Railway Solutions at Huawei International, delivered key insights into strategies to combine rail operational communication with passengers’ demands for CCTV, PIS, PA and WiFi. Frisch also shared on Huawei’s experience in supporting global rail customers to achieve greater operational efficiency, improved security and an enhanced customer experience through advanced, reliable and future-proof ICT solutions. In railway, Huawei’s Digital Train solution, an innovative train-to-ground wireless broadband of 80 Mbps @ 20 MHz, can support train speed up to 431 km/h. Today, Huawei’s ICT solutions have been widely deployed along 65,000 km of railway lines worldwide—that is about 1.38 laps around the earth!

In roadway, Huawei also has the unsurpassed capabilities in delivering a world-class integrated video surveillance and video conferencing solutions that enables accurate decision-making and quick judgment during emergencies, achieving efficient dispatch within 30 seconds. As of today, Huawei has been awarded contracts for over 80,000 km of highway. In seaport, Huawei’s Digital Port solution also provides one LTE network that supports voice, TOS and video capabilities, successfully decreasing field access devices by 90%. In aviation, Huawei provides an integrated solution that encompasses airport infrastructure network, airport ground service dispatching system and air-to-ground wireless broadband communication system, to ensure a secure airport campus network that reduces OPEX by 40%.
