When HerringStone's Boutique opened its first shop in Monroe, Louisiana, sisters Cindy Stone and Debbie Herrington had a vision to bring reasonably price modern fashions to ladies who want to look good without needing a second mortgage.Their first store in Monroe was a success. They used what they learned there to expand to Lafayette and Youngsville. Now the sisters have handed over most of the operations to Hanna Herrington and Claire Kostelka. The new duo is looking to expand the operation even further.

The prices are also lower than the high end fashion stores. Claire said that is important and one of the things they learned from original partners.
"We bring quality clothing that looks good and is well made. We do not offer named designer clothes that come with very high prices. Our customers want to build a wardrobe of attractive and elegant clothes without spending a small fortune," she said.
The stores carry clothing for those aged 15-75 with the concentration on professional ladies 18 to 55.
"Our customer is women who like to look and fill like a million bucks without breaking the bank. Our customer is interested in trendy on point styles but is not brand conscious. They are okay with creating a wardrobe in their closets without each piece being a specified high end brand," Hanna said.
The selections are always changing. The pair said they try to stay on top of current trends as well as seasonal needs.
