Ahead of the launch of its new custom orthotics and shoes in Russell, Embrun, and surrounding area, Foot Care Matters is making public how local residents will benefit from this new service.

The idea for offering custom orthotics and advanced foot care including diabetic foot care, came about because there was no local business providing this product and service.

Foot Care Matters has done something different compared to other businesses in the foot care space, by not only providing customers with orthotics, but by choosing custom orthotics created using Oolab’s 3D technology which provides a more accurate scan of the client’s foot.

Foot Care Matters pointed out that not only is the 3D technology more accurate, it is recognized by Regulatory Colleges as well as third party health insurance providers unlike other methods such as casting.

Custom orthotics and shoes are now available as part of Foot Care Matter’s greater plans to Increase and maintain mobility within the population and to help people with foot pain.

Foot Care Matters got its start when Founder and RPN, Ali Ismaily, noticed a growing need for a local service that provides education and proper foot care including custom orthotics. With prior experience in nursing, specializing in footcare, Ali Ismaily decided to go ahead and open Foot Care Matters in 2013.

Ali Ismaily is quoted saying: “We like to do things to connect with our customers and our community. Things like holding local information and education sessions, providing training to other health care professionals, and working with local businesses such as clinics, pharmacies, and senior residences to make sure their clients have access to foot care.”

Foot Care Matters’ custom orthotics, shoes, and advanced foot care is set to launch November 2016. To find out more about custom orthotics and Foot Care Matters, it’s possible to visit http://www.footcarematters.org/
