A blog post by the CEO of a financial advisory firm in Singapore has called for companies to review their group hospitalisation benefits, and the reason they have to do this is due to the implementation of MediShield Life.
Entitled “Why Companies Should Review Their Group Hospitalisation Benefits with the Introduction of MediShield Life”, the short post reveals why it is timely for companies to do a thorough think-through of their organisational level hospitalisation benefits.
According to Alfred Chia – CEO of SingCapital Pte Ltd – the need for such reviews is a logical one:
“Unless one has unlimited financial resources, there is no way that companies can cater to all of their employees’ medical needs. As the Singapore government strives towards universal coverage with the introduction of MediShield Life, it is inevitable that there will be overlaps between corporate group hospitalisation benefits with the benefits offered under Singapore’s national hospitalisation insurance scheme.”
“With the introduction of MediShield Life, things have changed,” Chia added.

The blog post is part of a larger website offering information about MediShield Life, a national health and medical insurance scheme protecting 3.9 million citizens and permanent residents of the island state of Singapore.
