Little Sprouts Daycare is making waves with its simple but effective strategy of offering “professional quality, home-style care” Daycare service, which has been in development since it opened back in 1995. The main objective is to re-create the same caring environment that the students (kids) get while at home with their parents and siblings.

Kathy Karns, Owner at Little Sprouts Infant Learning Center & PreSchool, says: “We wanted to try something new with this Daycare service now that we’ve moved out of our commercial space in north Elmhurst and back into a home setting. Anyone familiar with the Childcare market will probably have noticed how all the big centers seem to pack in as many kids as they are allowed to and do not provide the same type of quality that parents do for their kids at home. This is a problem because kids need a lot of one-on-one attention and personalized care to fully get the experience as if they are at home with their family.”

So as a welcome breath of fresh air, Little Sprouts is providing a personal level of care and education that their “competitors simply can’t or won’t do”, according to Karns. Ms. Karns chose to make this move because she believes parents want a superior level of care and attention paid to their kids while they away at work.

Kathy Karns went on to say, “We want to give our parents peace of mind that their child is in good hands while they are they are apart. With our new form of personalized care, we provide a warm, welcoming environment where kids can learn and parents can feel confident their loved ones are in good hands. We want them to feel at ease when their kids are with us. Trying a new strategy and curriculum is always a risk, but it’s a risk we believe is worth taking and we’ve consulted with some of the best minds in early childhood education to develop this.”

Little Sprouts has been in business (in various locations) for 26 years, originally established in 1995. Since Day 1 it has always aimed to provide parents with professional quality home-style care for their loved ones.

This isn’t the first time Little Sprouts Daycare has defied convention either. In 2009 they caused a stir when they closed their larger commercial location to re-focus on the licensed home daycare offering. “We found that the commercial setting was not the best environment for kids and it was more difficult to recreate the home style setting that the kids were used to at their homes”, said Karns.
