Educational Learning Toy Click-A-Brick Aims To Help Parents Afford STEM Toys

Educational learning toy company Click-A-Brick wants to help parents afford science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) toys by offering a 20 percent discount on its recently released Bug’s Life set. The company says the discount should help it return to normal sales numbers after January.

Educational learning toy company Click-A-Brick wants to give more parents the opportunity to give their children science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) toys at a reasonable price by offering a 20 percent discount on its latest building toy, the recently released Bug’s Life.

By offering the new 30-piece set at a discount, Click-A-Brick Co-Founders Jason Smith and Georg de Gorostiza hope to give more parents the ability to provide their children with the benefits of a STEM toy without having to spend too much money.

“Parents often lament how expensive STEM toys are and with STEM being such a hot topic with parents these days, that only serves to drive up the price,” Smith said. “That’s why we strive to keep Click-A-Brick as affordable as possible, starting with the initial launch of the sets. Everyone wants the new thing that has come out, so by offering the discount right away, we’re giving people the chance to save on the newest set and we believe customers appreciate that. Often, the newest toys that a company releases will be their highest priced because it’s the new thing, so we just want to be different and let people have the new set for the most affordable price.”

Customers can find the 20 percent discount on the Today’s Deals page on the United States Amazon site and now that people have sufficiently recovered from Christmas, the Click-A-Brick team says, they are expecting sales to pick up again starting in February.

“There is always that traditional lull in January for pretty much every industry,” Smith said, “and the toy industry more than any other one feels that lull, as parents don’t even want to think about spending any more money on toys for their children. But, by February, we often see people bounce back from their Christmas spending overload and business picks up again. It’s gone that way this year, with nearly stagnant January sales, but more robust sales in the first week of February just like it went that way last year. By March and beyond things are usually pretty much back to normal, sales-wise.”

The educational learning toy company timed the launch of its newest set to coincide with the traditional time of year that sales pick up again post-holiday, Smith says, as a bit of a boost for those sales. The added discount for customers should add an extra boost to the return of normal sales numbers and will be a welcome respite for parents who are looking to get their children a STEM toy without spending too much.
