Educational building toy company Click-A-Brick has announced that it plans to release two sets of two different sizes simultaneously within the next few months. One will have a construction theme while the other theme will be based on tropical birds.

For the first time in the young company’s life, educational building toy company Click-A-Brick will release two sets at the same time. One set will be a 30-piece offering with a theme of tropical birds while the other set will consist of 100 pieces and have a construction vehicle theme to it.

The as-yet-unnamed set that will feature tropical birds will contain bricks of yellow, red, green and blue, plus a set of eyes for making the birds.

Click-A-Brick Co-Founder Jason Smith says the company wanted to release another animal-oriented set because its initial offering of the Animal Kingdom Safari set, released last December, has continued to sell well and animals are always a popular theme with children.

“The Animal Kingdom Safari set has continued to be a really good seller for us since its release,” Smith said. “Kids obviously love animals, so it was a pretty easy call to go back to the well, so to speak, for another animal set. We’re betting if kids liked the Animal Kingdom set, they’ll love one with birds just as much, and maybe even more. It’s got a lot of color to it and what kid hasn’t dreamed of being able to fly like a bird?”

The other set the company aims to release has already been named Mighty Machines. A construction machine based set, it will feature 100 pieces with yellow, black, clear and red bricks. The set will come with instructions to build a backhoe, a digger, a dump truck, a loader and a helicopter among other construction related vehicles. It will feature wheels and axle pieces and other movable pieces so the toys children build can be played with.

A set with vehicles as the focal point is another move the company is confident in, as its Army Defenders set, which also features vehicles, has been selling well since its introduction in April.

“We’re sure children are going to love making and playing with these construction vehicles. Vehicles are another pretty safe bet and when you combine that with construction, it’s even more fun for them. Most kids are fascinated by the way things are built, like buildings, and this will give them a chance to build the vehicles that build the buildings.”

Releasing another animal and vehicle set was a calculated move on behalf of the company to replicate the success they have had with their first two educational building toy sets. As the company continues to get its footing, Smith says, the Click-A-Brick team wanted to stick with familiar themes for the time being before branching out into new territory like sets aimed at girls or completely new themes. The company has tentative plans to release as many as six sets by the end of 2016.
