From now until June 11th, E.R. Plumbing Services will collect nonperishable food items for delivery to Charlotte residents in need through a partnership with WSOC TV’s Channel 9 Food Drive. The Charlotte plumbing company’s office is a donation location; those interested can stop by, get to know the staff, and drop off nonperishable food items. On June 7th, E.R. Plumbing Services will staff the food drive held at the Channel 9 TV station; join in between 10a-7p on June 7th, and find out how good it feels to give back to Charlotte. Food donated will be distributed to Charlotte families in need through Second Harvest.
E.R. Plumbing Services is known in the Carolinas for the company’s commitment to giving back to the community. This past winter the owner and staff served families in need by staffing Room in the Inn, a program that provides safe, warm shelter, hot showers, and warm meals for the homeless. This Spring the owner and staff put their talents to work to build from scratch 25 beds for the Beds Equals Dreams Ministry sponsored by Arlington Baptist Church in Mint Hill; the beds will be distributed to families with children in need. The owner and staff also volunteered at the Charlotte Ronald McDonald House, cooking and serving meals for families with sick children.
“It’s all about giving back,” says Parker, owner of E.R. Plumbing Services. “Our company has been blessed; we recognize how much we have been given, and so we give back. Blessing others by using our resources, talents, time, and energy is the right thing to do. Together, the staff hopes to make Charlotte a better place in which to live.”
