Dr. Kimbro To Speak At Charlotte NC Training Conference And Expo For Teens

Dr. Dennis Kimbro and Donna Reed are among those to speak at the National Family Empowerment Conference and Expo which focuses on providing entrepreneurial training and resources to teens transitioning them from foster care adoption and high school to a generation of leaders.

Dr. Dennis Kimbro, a lecturer and researcher on the field of management, entrepreneurship and human potential will be a keynote speaker at the National Family Empowerment Conference and Expo. The conference focuses on providing entrepreneurial training and resources to teens transitioning them from foster care adoption and high school to a generation of leaders. Motivational speaker, author, business strategist and coach Donna Reed will also be speaking.


The conference will empower, train and provide resources to teenagers and their families with an emphasis on teens in foster care. It takes ongoing support, sponsors and partnerships with the annual National Family Empowerment Conference and Expo along with the empowering activities throughout the year to continue the impact this life changing event has on teens and families through programs, interactive activities, workshops, national local speakers, mini college fair, youth entrepreneurial and teen summits. The teens are developed in 8 categories: Entrepreneurs, Talent Development (the Arts) Entertainment, Technology, Culinary, Speech, Fashion Design and Professionals.


The objectives of the NFEC and EXPO are to equip teens for a productive future (especially graduates and teens aging out of foster care) to provide advanced educational resources (college, trades, entrepreneurial, military), to raise awareness to the need of homes and families for teens in foster care, to provide entrepreneurial training to prepare teens for career and business opportunities and to provide hands-on talent development through the arts, technology and culinary arts.


The conference should be attended by youth and teen organizations, families with teens, entrepreneurs, social workers, providers, trainers, movers and shakers. business owners, community leaders, motivational speakers, teachers, foster and adopted parents, ministries and anyone else interested in the development of young people.


The conference will be held on October 1, 2016 from 9:30AM – 4:30PM in the Carole Hoefener Center, 610 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.
