Now Offering KYBELLA Massachusetts & Rhode Island Injection 10 mg/ml, the First and Only Injectable Treatment for Submental Fullness, or Double Chin. Treatment available at Agape Dermatology & Medical Spa Fall River Massachusetts, Warwick Rhode Island!

KYBELLA (deoxycholic acid) injection 10 mg/ml, the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment that physically destroys fact under the chin for an improved profile, is now available in Fall River, MA, specifically at Agape Medical Spa. Submental fullness, also known as “double chin,” is a common concern among facial aesthetic oriented patients and can impact both men and women. Some possible causes are genetics, weight gain and aging.

Sometimes, even with diet or exercise, unwanted fullness beneath the chin may not go away, and it can make a person appear older or heavier than they actually are. According to 2015 survey by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDA) more than two thirds of aesthetic-oriented consumers are bothered by submental fullness – nearly as many as those bothered by lines and wrinkles around the eyes.

As an injectable treatment that destroys fat cells under the chin, thus reducing the appearance of a double chin, Kybella has been used by many men and women, who suffer from double chins, and which are notoriously difficult to eliminate and can make a person seem heavier than they actually are.

According to information gleaned from the company’s website, Kybella, submental fat cells are targeted and destroyed without affecting surrounding tissue. After these fat cells are destroyed, the body naturally absorbs and eliminates them, and gradually the double chin will reduce in size.

Kybella is used for treating fat underneath the chin, but is not recommended for use anywhere else on the body. It should only be injected by an experienced injector who has experience with Kybella injections as it requires precision and knowledge of anatomy in order to place the injections in such a way as to avoid nerves and create optimal results.

Kybella is given during a series of in-office visits. The injection process may take 15 to 20 minutes. The active ingredients in Kybella is deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. Fat cleared from the treatment area is processed through the body’s natural metabolic pathways.

Double-Chin Treatment with Kybella is tailored by Agape Medical Spa Fall River MA and Warwick RI to the individual patient’s submental fat distribution and aesthetic goals for an improved chin profile.

As part of clinical development program Kybella has been evaluated in more than 20 clinical studies. More than 1,600 people around the world have been treated with Kybella.
