Berkeys launched a Facebook campaign starting Tuesday, November 18 which will end on Sunday, December21 to encourage its customers and the public to write stories about theirfavorite, local charity.
The winning post will be selected by Berkeys employees theweek of Christmas, December 22, and that winning charity will be given aone-thousand dollar ($1,000) donation by Berkeys on behalf of the person whosubmitted the winning post. Please read more about the contest by clicking here
Mr. Jamie Wooldridge, President of Berkeys said, “TheDallas Metroplex has a lot of great local charities. We really wanted to giveour Facebook followers and the public an opportunity to showcase the charitiesthey love, volunteer and support or work at. And the end result is one charitywill receive a thousand-dollar donation on behalf of Berkeys and the person whohad the winning submission.”
“Berkeys supports various charities throughout theyear,” Mr. Wooldridge continued, “but one which is near and dear toour hearts is GRACE Grapevine. In fact, we just started a toy-drive to helpprovide toys for families that are a part of the Grace Christmas Cottage. Wefigured with dozens of trucks servicing customers throughout the Dallas/ FortWorth Metroplex, why not allow our customers to donate gifts which we cancollect on behalf of that organization.”
“There’s so many great local charities, we wish wecould help them all,” Jamie said, “but this Facebook contest is justone way we thought we could help raise awareness for other charities andorganizations in Dallas/Ft. Worth, and we hope it might inspire otherorganizations and members of our community to get involved by volunteering anddonating their talent, time and money. Everyone working together to help thosein need is what makes our city one of the best in the United States and theworld.”
