Award-winning singer, songwriter and performer Deana Carter will be at Colusa Casino Resort for a live acoustic performance on Friday, December 12th. Advanced tickets are on sale starting at $20 until December 5th. Tickets can be purchased through Startickets.com or at Colusa Casino Resort’s Gift Shop. Doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 8:30pm.
Carter broke through in the country music industry in 1996 with debut album, “Did I Shave My Legs for This?”, going multi-platinum and selling over five million copies. Carter captured the CMA Single of the Year Award with the chart topper, “Strawberry Wine,” and CMT Female Video Artist of the Year, both in 1997. That same year, Carter voiced the animated character Anastacia and sang the theme song, “Once Upon a December,” in the self-titled animated musical movie.Carter’s fans love the eclectic style of country, folk, and retro-rock that have made this artist a force to be reckoned with. Superstar success continues to be evident as last year’s chart topper, “You & Tequila,” that was co-written with Matraca Berg and recorded by Kenny Chesney. It was nominated for CMA’s “Song of the Year” and had two Grammy nods, most notable the coveted “Song of the Year.”
