Reports released earlier this year by The Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales indicate an upward trend in the number of facilities offering health and social care services has unfolded over the last three years. While this development is welcomed news to those in need of these courtesies, it has also led to an increased demand for qualified personnel. According to information on the Connective Care Education website, Mandatory programmes for the Social Care Sector and Health Care Field begin at QCF Level 2 training. This initial stage is designed for those currently holding supervised positions in Social and Home Care, Senior Care Facilities, Family Aide and similar scenarios. Training qualifies participants for specialised roles and paves the way for Level 3 training, which allows for progression to supervisory positions.
At the highest degree of training, QCF Level 5 is now required for management-level personnel. Spanning one to two years, this certification entails both classroom and hands-on education. Available courses are geared toward both medical training as well as behavioral understanding and management.
