Christopher T. Nace Assumes Role as President of the Trial Lawyers Association of Washington, DC

Christopher T. Nace assumed his role as President of the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, DC at the organization’s annual awards dinner on May 13, 2017. This year’s gala was held at the historic Howard Theater in Washington, DC.

“I am excited to serve as President for the TLA,” said Christopher Nace. “Our members are dedicated to ensuring that our civil justice system works for everyone. I am looking forward to continuing the good work that we’ve done, and to hearing new and creative ideas from our members in regard to projects we take on in the future.”
Mr. Nace is following in the footsteps of his father, Barry Nace. Barry Nace, the founding partner of Paulson & Nace, is the only person to twice serve as president of the D.C. Trial Lawyers.

Christopher T. Nace is a member of the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice and the Board of Governors of the Public Justice Foundation, and is a trustee of the Pound Civil Justice Institute.

About the 62nd Annual Awards Dinner: An Affair to Remember

This year’s awards dinner, themed An Affair to Remember, honored members of the Trial Lawyers Association of Washington, DC. Attendees included TLA-DC members and honorees, members of the American Association of Justice, and Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser. A number of D.C.’s City Council members were also present, including Council Chair Phil Mendelson.

Among the honorees this year was the Living Classrooms Foundation, which received this year’s Community Service Award. Living Classrooms is a Baltimore-area non-profit organization which offers enrichment and job training to students in the Baltimore-DC area. Living Classrooms’ Queen Beez performed at the gala, as did the band Garden State Radio.
