Captain Lim has been fishing since he could walk, being raised in a family that exuded a passion for fishing that’s difficult to describe. At the age of nine, he was entered in bass tournaments as a co-angler, which sparked a lifelong dream for him – thus the calling of becoming a professional fisherman had begun. Lim served on the USS John C. Stennis with the United States Navy for six years, seeing action in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn and becoming the only sailor who would walk off his ship in foreign ports with a rod and reel in hand.
After six years onboard the Navy ship and being stationed in Pensacola, Florida by the U.S. military, Lim has been fishing harder than ever, taking his bass-catching techniques and applying them to salt water flats, entering local tournaments, volunteering in local fishing events and sales and also hosting seminars for inshore fishing, appealing to kids and avid anglers alike.
