Bruce M. Plaxen, senior partner of Plaxen & Adler, P.A., was elected to serve on the Executive Committee of The American Association for Justice this year. The election occurred at the 2015 convention of Trial Lawyers in Montreal, Canada. This is his fifth election to the Executive Committee, a group of 19 lawyers dedicated to promoting the goals of the AAJ.

“This is important work that we do,” said Bruce Plaxen. “The AAJ promotes equality and justice for people around the country who might not otherwise have a voice. We take on the corporations who prioritize their profits instead of the American public, advocating for consumers in all industries who have, essentially, been betrayed by the powerful. We are their advocates in Congress when it becomes necessary. I’ve proudly served the AAJ for years, and the men and women who I serve with are among the brightest, most engaging individuals practicing law today. I am honored to be elected, and inspired by the work that we can all do together.”

Plaxen & Adler, P.A. is a small firm with multiple locations throughout Maryland. Bruce Plaxen is the Senior Governor on the International Board of Governors for the AAJ, and has served in this role as a representative for Maryland since 2002. He has served on various AAJ committees over the years, and is the current chair of the Organizational Review Committee, which bears responsibility for the bi-laws.

The groups comprises trial attorneys and plaintiffs’ lawyers whose desire is to improve the Civil Justice system to help people in need. The AAJ also offers support to lawyers through webinars, educational seminars and meetings, publications and networking opportunities.
