The founder of Rehab2Fitness, Roger Yamanaka, is an experienced physical therapist, who has a diverse approach to rehabilitation and performance training that focuses as much time working on the brain’s connection to their body as with their body itself. As Roger explains it, “weak links in the brain and nervous system can be identified and unique exercises can be introduced to allow the body to unlock its full potential.”

“Roger’s knowledge and expertise in understanding how the body functions and what is needed for my specific situation has been a key factor in my progress. He always amazes me when he introduces new items in conjunction with the routine items we do, even after two years of working with him. Currently, I am farther along than where I ever expected to be thanks to Roger. His ability to analyze and then incorporate remedies that lead to improvement has been significant in my progress and a huge motivation for me, as I have experienced the positive results since working with him. He is a highly skilled professional that takes a sincere interest in his clients. I feel very fortunate that I am able to work with him.” – George Rakis, Golfer, Retired General Manager LA Convention Center

Roger has earned a number of certifications in the area of health and wellness and has spent over two decades researching rehabilitation and athletic performance in order to offer clients the best results possible.

In addition to Roger’s specialization in brain-based training, he also incorporates a wide range of traditional manual therapy techniques to address dysfunction in joints, muscles, and fascia, a specialized tissue which can contribute to pain or difficulty with movement. With this approach in mind, services at Rehab2Fitness include brain-based rehabilitation and training, primitive reflex release techniques, facial manipulation, dynamic neuromuscular stabilization, functional strength and conditioning training, and Pilates. Roger became one of the first medical professionals to go through the highly respected Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certification Program and is one of only a handful in the world who is both a TPI Level 3 Medical and Fitness Professional. http://www.mytpi.com/
