Bette Midler has announced that she is returning to the stage by going on tour. Her tour launches next month, and some shows are already sold out.

Hollywood, FL – April 28, 2015 – The Devine Miss M has made a major announcement that has fans across the US and the UK holding their collective breaths in anticipation: Bette Midler is going on tour and returning to the stage after ten long years away from it. She will kick off her tour on May 8 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The last time Midler was on stage was ten years ago when she performed in Las Vegas. “I haven’t really toured for a number of years,” the 68 year old star was quoted as saying. “It will be fun to get back on the bus.” The last time Miss M performed was from 2008 to 2010 when she graced the stage regularly at Caesars Palace.

According to a spokesman at ConcertBank, tickets are so in demand that Midler has already had to add shows to the tour. For instance, her show in Madison Square Garden in New York sold out instantly, and she added a new show to that venue. “This is one of those concerts that if you really want to see her, you’d be wise to get your tickets before they’re gone,” the spokesman said. Adding to the excitement of the tour is Midler’s decision to give every person who purchases a Bette Midler ticket to see her show a free copy of her new CD, “It’s the Girls!” The new album is a tribute to girl groups through the ages. In it, Midler sings songs by the Andrew Sisters from the WWII era, along with 60s superstars like the Supremes and the Shirelles. She ventures into the 90s as well with a hit from TLC, Waterfalls. It only took a few hours after the release of that song for it to make it to number 5 on the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140. Even Vanity Fair chimed in by saying, “You haven’t lived until you’ve heard Midler sing “Waterfalls.”

Midler is one of the few stars who can claim success in all areas of show business. She earned four Grammy Awards, two Academy Award nominations, three Emmy Awards, one Tony Award, three Golden Globe Awards, and nine American Comedy Awards. And her music has made her one of the world’s favorites, proved by the fact that she has sold over 30 million albums worldwide.

Midler’s “It’s the Girls!” tour kicks off in Hollywood, Florida on May 8, and ends in New York City’s Madison Square Garden. The tour includes 22 cities, with an additional 5 stops in the UK. Bette Midler concert tickets are available through ConcertBank.com
