An Arabic language career management book for medical students and doctors has just been released on Amazon.com.

A new career management guide for Arabic speaking medical students and doctors has just been launched on Amazon.com. The book entitled Alchemy for Careers- Career Management for Arabic Speaking Medical Students and Doctors- Written in Arabic is co-authored by two practising physicians who have decades of experience in mentoring young physicians across four continents.

Prof Ceppie Merry is one of the authors of the book and was interviewed in Dublin yesterday about the book. She explained that medical schools focus largely on preparing students for medicine itself but provide little training on other really important aspects of career progression. She explained that she has seen so many medics fail to reach their full potential in a timely manner simply because they struggle to prepare a professional CV or compelling answers to commonly asked interview questions.

The book follows an Arabic speaking doctor from East Africa as he applies for a job, interviews and transitions to do higher training in a new country. The short book also includes guidance on career management for female medics. The book also addresses the often overlooked and unexpected challenges of returning home after training abroad.

The book is written in an easy to read format in the Arabic language. Prof Merry explained that there are very few books written on career management for medical professionals and even fewer still in Arabic. She hopes that the book helps people reach their dreams and goals quickly.

The book is currently only available in paper form as the Amazon Kindle platform does not currently support the Arabic language. There are a limited number of copies available at present on Amazon.com..

The authors are interested in finding ways to distribute the book within Arabic speaking countries and will look to partner with medical schools in East Africa and the Middle East to achieve this in the new year.
