Allen Baler of Reboot Marketing LLC Responds to Entrepreneurship-Job Creation Link

A new study shows that business start-ups do more for job creation than large companies do. Allen Baler of Reboot Marketing has created a dozen new jobs recently with his company.

There has been much discussion in the business world regarding which activities lead to job creation and which don’t. Some people argue that tax cuts for large companies would lead to more jobs, while others say there is no evidence to support such a position.

According to Forbes magazine (www.forbes.com/sites/amyrosen/2014/03/17/197/), a recent report from the Kauffman Foundation revealed that the real key to job creation is start-ups. New businesses, regardless of their size, do more for job creation than large companies. In fact, the data demonstrates that net job creation for the American economy since 1980 would have been negative in most years were it not for start-ups.

Harvard graduate Allen Baler spent 15 years working in the corporate world before deciding to form Nashville, Tenn.-based Reboot Marketing LLC in 2008. His entrepreneurial spirit required a leap of faith that has paid off well for Baler and his employees.

“This finding from the Kauffman Foundation is not surprising, but it does validate what a lot of people believe,” said Baler, a partner at Reboot Marketing (www.RebootMarketing.com), which has added 12 jobs over the past two years. “Creating new companies is a great way to create new jobs. Entrepreneurs are the key to job creation.”

Fulltime and part-time positions that have been filled recently by Reboot Marking include operations director, program manager, vice president of marketing, advertising director, customer service manager, accounting director, sales copywriter and managing editor.

In 2013, Reboot Marketing was named a Top 500 fastest growing company by Inc. magazine (www.Inc.com/profile/reboot-marketing) after revenues shot up from $769,042 in 2009 to $11.8 million in 2012.
