Seed libraries are sprouting up across the United States, and one of the latest is located in Salem, Va. The Salem Library allows patrons to “check out” vegetable seeds they can use to plant in their home gardens, according to a recent report from The Roanoke Times.Seed libraries help vital, locally cultivated strains of seeds that have been saved by farmers continue to be planted.
