4Patriots Official Glad Idaho School Kids Will Continue to Receive Fruits and Vegetables

Thanks to some last-minute funding, the USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program will continue at Idaho schools this coming school year. 4Patriots commends the initiative and offers a Fruit, Veggie and Snack Mix among its survival food.

Many public school children in Idaho will continue to have access to plenty of fruits and vegetables during the 2017-18 school year following a concern that a longtime healthy food program would end, according to a recent article in the Boise Weekly.

The schools have benefited from the USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program – its goal is to instill healthy eating habits in kids – for the past 11 years. But until recently, there was a fear that funding for the program would be reduced or eliminated. It has since been announced that the program had been funded in the amount of more than $1.2 million. A total of 113 Idaho schools will continue to benefit from the program.

“At 4Patriots we believe very strongly in healthy eating, and getting kids in the habit of eating fruits and vegetables at a young age is very important,” said Allen Baler, Partner at 4Patriots, a Nashville, Tenn.-based company that provides a variety of products that help people become more self-reliant and independent. “We applaud this initiative to provide school children in Idaho with plenty of healthy food.

“We also enjoy providing people with plenty of fruits and vegetables in our Food4Patriots survival food. In fact, we have a specific kit called the Fruit, Veggie & Snack Mix that includes 114 servings and sells for $97. It includes freeze-dried green beans, corn and broccoli; freeze-dried strawberries, blueberries and pineapple; and other items.”

One of the best things about Food4Patriots survival food is that one can use it during a power outage that spoils refrigerated food, or hold onto it and use it during a major emergency in the future. The 72-hour, one-week, four-week, three-month and one-year emergency food kits from Food4Patriots are nutritious and tasty, and have shelf lives of up to 25 years, so it’s not necessary to periodically rotate stockpiles.

They’re also very simple to prepare. The food in these kits can be prepared in less than 20 minutes and requires only boiling water. It’s contained in easy-to-store, space-age Mylar pouches – which keep out air, moisture and light – and tucked inside tough, stackable totes that are discreet and store anywhere – basement, attic, garage, shed, cabin or even an RV.

“An emergency could be right around the corner, and having survival food handy brings considerable peace of mind in the meantime,” Baler said.

Food4Patriots provides emergency food products that are shelf-stable for 25 years. Food4Patriots survival food kits are made with food grown, harvested and packaged in the United States, and all of the meals are made without any genetically-modified products, preservatives or fillers. The kits are available in 72-hour, one-week, four-week, three-month and one-year supplies.
