The hotly talked about initial debate between the two candidates, both of whom have attracted waves of controversy and stimulate conversation in their own right, will be split into six quater hour segments covering major topics and talking points. The moderator will select the topics and each candidate will be given two minutes to present their response to the crowd at Hofstra University in New York. The discussion will be progressed based on the judgement of the moderator. The debate was previously scheduled to take place and be hosted by Wright State University in Ohio, however WSU has to withdraw due to budget issues. Lester Holt will be the Anchor, representing NBC Nightly News for the debate.

The T-Shirt Parody idea had evolved from the multitude of playful and funny clips and soundbytes found on YouTube, ever since Donald Trump became a viable candidate for Presidency. As Hilary Clinton emerged as a front runner and the controversy and parodies increased in number, the focus and buzz surrounding the election and Presidential Race drew worldwide attention. In Britain, a new range of funny T-Shirts were designed to celebrate and coincide with the opening debate.

In the week leading up to Monday’s debate alone, over 90,000 videos were uploaded to YouTube including ‘Donald Trump’, over 80,000 including ‘Hillary Clinton’ and over 30,000 videos including ‘Presidential Debate 2016’, which is more total minutes of video content to be impossible to watch in the same space of time.

The highly popular t-shirts, selling out among the most active Clinton and Trump supporters, feature multiple sharp, controversial and funny cartoons and memes parodying the candidate’s ‘soundbites’ and striking attacks on each other’s plans, record and ability to keep the country safe, effectively control immigration and defeat the threat of ISIS.
