KB Fitness starts new Polar HR club using new Heart rate sensor technology in combination with their small group fitness classes

Using the Polar HR sensors, KB Fitness starts a new club that will teach members how to work out in their targeted heart rate zone. This technology is not yet available in most health clubs.

Using the Polar HR Sensors during small group classes, members can monitor (and be monitored by KB Fitness coaches) on a big screen TV throughout the entire class. Studies show that working out at 60-75% of an individual’s targeted heart rate will put one into a more fat burning zone; 75-80% tends to improve cardiovascular levels while also giving a fair amount of fat burning; 90% should only be in short intervals 30 seconds or less. With the sensors, members can see personal numbers displayed on a screen in real time and adjust as wanted.

The new year can bring new challenges in work out routines. With the KB Fitness Polar Club it can seem like the class time flies by. Watching one’s own numbers on the screen can make the workout seem more like a game and it is never boring.

“Polar Club provides clubs with a unique personal touch to the member experience,” says Marco Suvilaakso, Group Product Director at Polar. “We’ve built Club to support an in-club experience as well as an online community where instructors and club members can share trainings, post and comment and share announcements. The system is not only an effective community-building, class management and reporting tool, but also it provides a way for instructors to make real-time adjustments to help their clients meet fitness goals.”

Wearing the Polar HR sensor while in class should show help change one’s body, losing weight and gaining strength as one works out in the proper zones. Polar has always been on the leading edge of developing products to help people work out properly and efficiently. Polar technology is used by 2016 Olympic Triathlon Gold Medalist and two-time ITU World Champion Gwen Jorgensen and Olympians Molly Huddle and Kate Grace.

KB Fitness is offering a free trial class via their web site, www.KBFitness.Biz or from the KB Fitness mobile app.
